Genomics Lite is a series of live webinars for anyone who wants to learn more about genomics. Extraordinary science, explained!

Join us on Thursday 25 January at 4.30pm as we focus on the fascinating topic of genes! Our first guest speaker of 2024 is Dr Zachary Ardern, Research fellow at the Wellcome Sanger Institute.

Zachary will talk about his work, which aims to understand some fundamental questions in biology – ‘what is a gene?’ and ‘what does it do?’. We’ll take a look at the complex world of genes and what we still don’t know about them!

We will also explore how the answers to these questions will impact research on evolution, Covid-19 and beyond.
