Animal Testing on Trial (Ντοκιμαντέρ)

In order for us to be effectively cured of diseases, animal testing is still done in laboratories. But is there an alternative to animal testing and can we do without animal testing?

Animals like mice or rats suffer in our laboratories during animal testing. Drugs or cosmetics are tested on them. Many people are therefore horrified by animal testing, which is carried out on around two million animals per year in Germany. Scientists, however, consider animal testing to be necessary in order to research and cure diseases. Therefore, it is and remains an ethical question whether we are allowed to experiment with animals for our own benefit.

This documentary shows whether there is an alternative to animal testing and what it might look like.
